Frequently Asked Questions

Here's our FAQ. If you still cant find the answer to your question, then please email us by using our Contact page.

Do I have to wear a uniform to practice?

No uniforms are strictly optional. All our club members will have FIU Taekwondo Club T-shirts that they can practice in. You can also wear regular workout attire. If you wish to have a uniform though, you can order one by asking the club president or by ordering it straight through the website Here.

Do I have to know Taekwondo before Joining?

No. Many of our members are beginners. Many people in the  club have never done a martial art before and start classes without knowing how to kick or any of the fundamentals. Our club is for all experience levels and we help all members grow and better themselves as martial artists. We even promote our members to the next belt.

I was a green belt at my old school, do I have to start all over again?

No. We will honor the belt you gained from the school you previously attended. If you forgot some of the old techniques or forms, no problem. We will help you get back into the swing of things and refresh you on the things you have forgotten.
